Position: Master Diagnostic Technician

Location: 4055 Pacific Hwy San Diego, CA 92110

Schedule: Monday- Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Type: Full-Time

 

The pay is $35 per clock hour in guarantee pay. In addition to this, there is another productivity labor rate.

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.   • Knowledge of conducting diagnostic tests on vehicles using specialized diagnostic equipment and software
  • Knowledge of performing advance diagnostics, execute necessary repairs based on diagnostic findings
  • Skills in prioritize customer service and maintain professionalism
  • Adhere to a strict code of ethics while servicing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Staying up to date with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic methods

What We Are Looking For! What responsibilities are included: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 5 years minimum experience 
  • Possessing an industry certification, like ASE, Smog License is helpful but not required
  • Need strong leadership skills and the ability to focus on a customer’s needs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency with multitasking effectively and be strong in problem-solving and conducting repairs 
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with Service Advisors so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively 
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the Shop
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacture specifications
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • All other duties based on business needs
